Timed actuator arm
I am looking to build an actuator which would be active for a set time and then become inactive. I need an interface for setting this interval of time, like a timer relay with an lcd display, or maybe interface it with something else, like my iphone, or something with which I can easily set the timer. The timer should be accurate to a tenth of a second. Are there any devices like this already ? or if I need to build it, how do I start ? I am a software engineer, I have some basic electrical and electronics knowledge but not much.
